Two days to go

Nunyara staff are readying the venue, ordering meals, and arranging details in preparation for our arrival in two days.

We've got a great number of people registered - around 40 will form our community over the weekend - and the anticipation is certainly building.

I have just seen the running sheet for the dinner on Saturday evening celebrating the 10th gathering of biblical storytellers in Australia - it's going to be a wonderful evening of reminiscing and feasting!

Adelaidians, don't forget to invite your friends to come and hear the epic telling of the Gospel of Matthew on Saturday afternoon. For a gold coin donation, it's a rare opportunity and an experience that will bring the story alive in a new way. The epic begins at 4.30, and will be concluded by 6.30. It will take place in the Nunyara Chapel.

Three Days to go!

I have had an email from our keynote speaker, Steve Taylor, saying that he is having so much fun preparing the stories and reflections for his sessions over the weekend! 

And that's what it's all about, isn't it, the life-giving nature of engaging with story - especially the story of God in whom we do find life - in imaginative and creative ways. 

Steve has asked us to bring a 'green bag' - a cloth shopping bag - with us, for our participation in his sessions. Intrigued? I know I am! 

So pack your bags - and bring some warm clothes, for the Adelaide nights are still somewhat chilly, especially in the hills - and we will see you in three days!

Well, we're almost there - four days to go until the National Biblical Storytelling Gathering!

We are - we're putting final touches on the celebration dinner for Saturday night, allocating food, organising airport pick-ups - and we're dotting 'i's and crossing 't's to make sure all is ready for you in four days' time!

Countdown to the gathering: 3 weeks to go

As winter gets in its passing shots with a thunderstorm here in Adelaide, we begin the countdown to the 10th National Biblical Storytelling Gathering.

If you haven't registered - it's not too late! Download the form, send us an email (nbssouthaustralia@gmail.com), or ring Sarah (0408 087 754). There's always room for more!

For those who haven't yet nominated a portion for the epic, please do so soon. There are plenty of gaps in our telling of the book of Matthew, so there is still room for your voice. Ring Sarah if you would like to talk about what's involved.
On the epic - do you have any digital versions of portions of Matthew? Please let us know asap. It's a long story, and we want to tell as much of it as we can.

Do you have any memorabilia, or stories from past gatherings? Let us know about those, too, because following the epic is our celebration dinner - ten gatherings and only just beginning!
